1. Introduction & Company Information

Welcome to Carolina Sella (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website carolinasella.com and the purchase of products from our online shop. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to images of artworks, designs, logos, text, and graphics, is the exclusive property of Carolina Sella and is protected by Danish and International copyright laws.

You may NOT: Copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any images for commercial purposes without explicit written consent.
Purchase of Art: Buying an original painting or print does not transfer copyright. You own the physical object, but the artist retains all reproduction rights.

3. Products & Disclaimers

Handmade Nature: Many of our products (Originals, Hand-Embellished Prints) are created by hand. Slight imperfections or variations in texture are part of the artwork’s character.
Colors: We make every effort to display colors accurately. However, due to monitor settings, the colors you see on your screen may differ slightly from the actual artwork.

4. Pricing & Payment

Currency: All prices are listed in DKK (Danish Krone).
Taxes: Prices are final. As a small business under the VAT threshold, VAT (Moms) is not charged separately.
Payment Methods: We accept secure payments via Stripe and PayPal. We do not store your credit card details.

5. Shipping Policy (Hybrid Model)

We operate a hybrid shipping model. Please note that your order may arrive in separate packages if it contains different types of items.

A. Hand-Embellished Giclée Prints (Special Processing Time)

Process: Each print is individually ordered to our studio and hand-painted/embellished by the artist.
Lead Time: Please allow approx. 14 days for studio production and drying time before dispatch.
Shipping: Ships from Copenhagen. Delivery: 2-5 days (DK) / 5-12 days (Europe).

B. Original Artworks

Ships directly from our studio in Copenhagen within 2-6 business days.

C. Standard Prints & Merchandise (POD)

Produced and shipped on demand by our partners (Printful or Contrado).
Origin: Ships from facilities within the EU (Latvia/Spain) or UK.
Time: 5-10 business days for production and delivery.

6. Return & Refund Policy

We comply with the EU Consumer Rights Directive. However, exceptions apply to custom-made goods.

A. Original Artworks (Returnable) You have the right to return original paintings within 14 days of receipt.

Condition: Must be returned in perfect, original condition.
Cost: The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs to Copenhagen.
Refund: Once received and inspected, we will refund the full price of the artwork (excluding original shipping costs).

B. Hand-Embellished Prints (Non-Returnable) These items are customized/personalized by hand specifically for your order (e.g., gold leaf, oil textures added upon request). Therefore, all sales are final, and we cannot offer returns or exchanges unless the item arrives damaged.

C. Standard Merchandise (Made-to-Order) Apparel and mugs are printed on demand. We do not offer returns for buyer’s remorse (e.g., wrong size selection).

Damages: If an item arrives damaged, email us within 48 hours with photos for a free replacement.

7. Limitation of Liability

Carolina Sella shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. In no event shall our liability exceed the purchase price of the product.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Denmark.
